Education CS Assures Teachers of Imminent Salary Increases Amid Strike
Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba has reassured striking teachers that the government is committed to addressing their grievances, particularly regarding delayed salary payments. He announced that public school teachers would receive their overdue salary increments for July and August by the end of this week. The funds, amounting to Ksh 13.5 billion, have already been released by the National Treasury as part of the 2021-2025 Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
